Gas Prices...

We need other fuel sources. Fuck oil. Fuck being dependent on other countries. Ethanol, hydrogen, solar power, whatever works.

But, sadly, that will NEVER happen, until the earth is run bone dry of oil, that is. Because, as Tostig stated, oil companies make billions upon billions of dollars from it. And we wouldn't want those rich oil folks to go through life without their mansions and yachts.

Japanese scientists already made a piss-powered vehicle. I'd be down for that. Wake up, go outside, fill your tank, scratch your ass, go to work.

It's bucking frilliant!

The economy in my area is very dependant on high gas prices. Northern Alberta has A LOT of oil, but its all in "oil sands". Extracting the oil from the sand is an expensive process, and is only profitable when oil prices are high. And since my dad works in the oil sands...

 to high gas prices. Lomsy wants a new computer.

3 bucks where I am. 40mpg seems not enough sometimes. But I am one step away from being a homeless veteran singing anti-war songs with a rubber band and a street corner. :mfinger:

Easty... the new you is sexy and sleek.

As for gas prices... ehhhh.... they suck, yeah. But really, it should motivate people to walk or bike more... which in turn will better everyone's health by increasing excersize and decreasing emissions. I've always been an advocate for increasing excersize for more reasons than it betters your physical health.

well if you use public transit or buy an electric car u aint got nothin to worry about, frankly until we all stand up to big oil and say fuck you you should shut the fuck up and deal with it. i dont drive so i can say that.

Oh well, Yes gas prices are on the rise. But maybe if we wait it out, Use the bus every now and then, the prices may/hope will go down. But the problem we have is, the electric cars are just starting to become popular. lets say that you have an electric/gas powered car. And something breaks down in the electric part of the car. Since we dont have many electric/gas powered cars on the road, its Going to cost a Boat load of money to get that part fixed. Unless you can do it yourself. I think the car companies seriously should put more invesments into electric cars. I had done a research paper on electric cars in highschool for my seinor paper. That was a couple years ago. And at the time, Electric cars sounded good, but you had to keep them in tip top shape so they wouldnt break down, and have to put out more money into it.

One problem with hybrid cars. Their ecological footprint is TERRIBLE. Sure, they emit less when you use them, but the pollution from producing them is insane. The Hummer H1 is a greener car than the Prius when you look at the entire foot-print, not just the emissions.

You know Gas Prices suck but allot of people shouldn't fucking complain. If you drive a big truck that has 4 wheel drive or a big SUV and you get less than 20 miles per gallon and you NEVER OR RARELY HAVE A USE FOR A LARGE VEHICLE then SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! I live in Montana and some people have a use for a pig truck for haling shit.... MOST DON'T THOUGH!!! try driving oh a say a Toyota Corolla they get 35-40 MPG and you can fill the tank for up to the tip top for less than 50$........On that 50$ you can drive for about 500 miles...............But for people that drive really big vehicles in say L.A. AND THEY DO; AND ALLOT DON'T HAVE ANY NEED FOR IT fuck off and don't bitch.....See there is only one other reason to buy a vehicle like that if your not using it it's called TO IMPRESS YOUR NEIGHBOR.....I have yet to be impressed though. From me experience people with big vehicles ARE ASS HOLES behind the wheel as well........They have this attitude like oh I"m bigger than you so you can just stay out of my way buddy......Look at me and my big fucking shiny truck yes I spend almost 100$ to fill it up but I have money and I don't care if my wasting gas raises the prices for you becasue I can afford it and you can't......
