Gas Prices? Would you like to fight back?

How could the American people organize a record breaking strike or boycott of some sort. Is there anything we can do to force our govt. to grow some balls and stand up for us? Just a thought. I'll be looking for a best answer. Thanks in advance.
 
I have switched to local work only...if many people followed suit, the demand would lower and the supply would go up causing lower gas prices.
 
Sure, want to fight back. Give up your 8 cyl or 6 cyl engines. Trash all SUV's. Dump all those silly 2500Sq ft + McMansions.

Won't happen though.
 
If a boycott movement were called for I would be the first to park my car, and not move it. I believe millions of Americans would do this if it broke the back of the middle east oil cartel. Tho many think it is the oil company's driving this..think again. It is our "friend" Saudi Arabia" who holds the knife to our throats as they have ever since the 70's/ Stop buying their oil, boycott the gas stations which purchase that oil, and watch the Saudis civilization crumble in the sand..my guess is, the price of the oil would drop fast enough, so that their empires don't drop first. I would give up anything to see that happen..anything..including my car, and home heat.
 
this is getting out of hand. when will the politicians get together and worry about the PEOPLE not just the wildlife? we need to drill and keep using our own oil and build refineries and plants for our own use and stop relying on foreign oil.
we have plenty of our own resources in the united states, lets wake up and use them before all that will be left is THE WILDLIFE AND ENVIORMENT, without mankind!!!!
