I am 18 years old with one year of college under my belt (so far); and I have a terrible anxiety disorder. So I have a question I need answered. Will gas prices keep going up FOREVER? Also, is the United States going into a recession? I am so horrified that I will not be able to afford to live. I think about it all the time and it even brings me to tears. A big part of my fear is that I don't understand what's happening. I already understand how gas prices work; like supply and demand and OPEC (i think?). I just need some more info. Anything you can give me would be appreciated.

well you have a right to feel the way you do.. i think we all here in the U.S. that are working class feel the stress of it all..as for the gas prices? well if we as tax paying citizens don`t find a way to stop big oil men "our own Americans" from continuing to profit big time then yeah they will go on for a good long time.. i hope that you are going to school for something that is needed in the work force.. so many kids go into college and take something that will not get them hired in anywhere.. i see alot of the kids my 22 year old graduated with back from college working part time at party stores... my son went off to college to be an accountant and ended up stopping school because he found a high paying job that he likes..my 18 year old is working the summer at my shop and then he goes off to school for sports journalism..now there is a job just waiting for him wherever he goes..and really no one really understands whats going on because we were lied to so many times by our president and politicians that we don`t know either..and it`s not just OPEC screwing us on gas prices it`s big oil companies right here in the U.S. here is a little something not many know.. Exxon Mobil`s CEO is retiring and they gave him 100 million dollars for his retirement package and the rest of the big oil pigs get a cool 10 million in bonuses every year.. so why is the price of gas so much? there you go.. so we can make the rich richer and the poor poorer...
