Gas mileage of a 1989 Mercury Marquis?

What kind of gas mileage does a 1989 Mercury Marquis get? I think its a V8, I know its a 302. I would like to know city and highway. My cousin has a car similar to this and his is a V8, it gets about 19 on the highway. Also if the engine oil in my car is coffee like does it mean that the head gasket is bad? Thanks.
 
I used to get about 20 or so with my Merc. The oil sounds dirty and may need to be changed. If you are losing coolant, then you may need to have a compression test ran on the cylinders to see if there is a leak.
