I own a 2008 Pontiac G6 with a 3.5L V6. In the owners manual, it says for my engine to use gas with an octane level of 87 or higher. But it says for the 3.6L engine that you can use an octane level 87 of higher or for better performance to use octane level 89 of higher. For the 2.4L 4 cylinder, it tells you to only use gas with an octane level of 91 or higher. Would it harm my engine in any way to use higher octane gas for my car?
