Well my roomate has been running from a credit card judgement for awhile. Well he went to buy somthing today and said he had $0.00 .. It was already past 5 so noone could tell him anything. He did get ahold of some girl that said the legal department of the bank is holding the funds do to a garnishment and to call tomorrow.. Well. he gets direct deposit from his job this friday. Will he beable to withdraw any of his paycheck once it gets deposited into the bank or is he screwed..
Sucks for him if that is the case.
The bank is not HOLDING the funds i ment to say they withdrew it all to 0.00 balance. He had like 60.00 in there

They can do that. This is why you must answer a Complaint when it is served. He needs to get in front of the judge to determine what is reasonable for withdrawal. That will require he learn the law or hire an attorney and it will be expensive. Stating the obvious cash is king in your friend's case but he must honor his debts and any judgement. Tell him to call the creditor and work out a payment plan so he can eat, buy gas,pay the rent! Others will tell him to move the account, but it is best to deal with it now as interest will accrue on the judgment.
