I spent all week amending and breaking up some awful hard clay soil with the pre-mixed miracle grow vegetable + flower soil. I put my plants in the ground yesterday, 6 tomato plants and some cucumbers. Today I went to water it and I'm noticing all of the good soil is washing away and I still have huge clay 'rocks'. Should I pull them up and mix in more compost? Can I hand till it in around them? I've worked really hard for this feeble attempt at a vegetable garden and don't want it to go to waste. Any help would be appriciated!
