Hello, I bought a car from a friend's garage, it had loads of problems throughout the year. Towards the end it broke down completely and was collected by the garage to be fixed. It was still under warranty. Six months later, lots of phone calls and promises to have it fixed, call me back, nothing! I managed to speak to someone today who said the warranty company wouldn't cover it, I owed 1200 pound to complete work, then they would put through MOT but no guarantee they wouldn't find more problems and there be more cost. I have decided to sue the garage as the car is now out of warranty and mot and i still have now car. My question is, what information should I request from them as I have had no paper work really. Examples, Warranty certification/ paperwork? invoices of work done so far? fsa certificate, their credit agreement? anything you can think of, please tell me so i can include it in my letter notifying them of litigation.
