As you can see there are a lot of pros then cons for me. Im hoping to see more reveiws and preveiws as it gets closer to the reales date next month. I would like for you guys to tell my what you think of the Galaxy s. I love my nexus one a lot and i know that there is always a bigger better phone that comes out all the time. One thing that i really like about the Nexus one is it gets all update first, but that cant be the only reason i should keep it. Hopfully the Galaxy s gets the update in a reasonble amout of time. It should becouse its going to be a big contender for the top of the line android phone.

The Samsung Galaxy S has the best screen anywhere in the universe. It's touchscreen technology, side-by-side with the Nexus One, just looks like it's in a totally different league. There's a YouTube video around showing this. So in terms of screen size, image quality, and touchscreen, it's amazing.

Unfortunately (?), it uses TouchWiz. Now, I've used TouchWiz 2.0 on a friend's phone, and I absolutely hated it. It was truly a horrible experience. It seems like all the apps are in a single column on a left hand side-bar. To run an app, you drag it off the side-bar and onto the home screen a bit like installing a widget. Then, when you finish running an app (or just need more space on the home screen) you drag it back off the home screen onto the side-bar.

Mind you, this was an older version of TouchWizz than what runs on the Galaxy S (which is 3.0). All I'm saying is, give it a try before you buy it.

It has the best GPU anywhere in the universe too. This may be my next phone, I'm going to try and hold out an see if the Pro comes to T-Mobile.

Actually, I take it back about TouchWiz. Version 3 doesn't look so bad, and a lot of place say some Samsung Technician told some reviewer that you will be able to disable it and run the standard Android home.

Here's a YouTube video of TouchWiz 3 in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRM5bf35yqs&feature=player_embedded

From what I've seen of the touch wiz 3.0 it looks good I've seen no evidence of any what was mentioned about moving apps to look at.I'm hoping to get my hands on it before I buy. Never know I might not like it.but I'm going to have to really hate something not to get it. I think the screen is even better then the new iphones and that alone is worth it.

I'd find someone who actually has the phone confirm that you can disable it, rather than relying on a third hand report that some "Samsung technician" told "some reviewer" that you "can disable it", on a pre-release version of the phone.

I say this because the pre-release HTC Desires allowed you to kill off Sense UI and use standard Android, but the ones you buy in the shops today don't allow you to do that.

whether it can b disabled or not doesn't concern me, its not bad at all. its actually looks kinda cool and its way better than the last version.

Indeed it does. Here's a reasonable side-by-side comparison of the iPhone 4 screen and Samsung Galaxy S. The Samsung's screen is obviously superior. It has way better viewing angles and colours. The iPhone just looks washed out and dull colours in comparison.
