I did a search so hopefully i'm not reposting...but here is my situation.
I was interested in writing android apps so I...
Downloaded Android SDK, downloaded Eclipse, installed all available packages(including Google usb4.0). adt plugin, created working emulator, created android app(no errors), tested app in emulator(Fine)set manifest debug=true, downloaded driver for galaxy s, device manager recognizes phone as SAMSUNG Android Composite ADB Interface, turned on Unknown Sources and debugging mode in application setting on galaxy s, pressed the run key in eclipse and..................the emulator came back on...WTF!....why isn't it letting me choose which device I can send it to. why is my galaxy s not being recognized?...
Did I do something wrong...I had to of, i'm a noob. Double-checked my work and my drivers....no problems. Checked internet...very little info available. Stumpled upon the introduction of a application called SAMSUNG KIES and how this program was used in my similar situation to connect to eclipse(odd). Ok, downloading Kies,(I found another site that explained the exact opposite saying it messes with debug mode) installed, ran progam (ERROR: The device is not supported by Kies 2.0) REALLY?! ARE YOU SURE!? Damn. I tried many solutions online to get this program working for my phone. Apparantly it is a well known issue. So finally, whatever, uninstalled Kies, now just staring at my galaxy s wondering what I am possibly doing wrong....I've been at this thing for 3 days and I can surely use the help if anyone can help me here.
Thanks in advance
