Gaining weight because of my friends and eating at night .how to stop the habit or...

...find ways to work around it? ok well recently ive gained a some wieght I'm 5'3 and I weigh 145..I hold my wieght well so it doesnt look quite as bad is sounds but , I would love to drop like 15 pounds ..Ive been waking up early and working out but some how ruin my workout by going out with friends and eating out ..Im slimming up but ,I dont have that slim look that I love ..Im not fat but , Im not skinny..I want to be skinny but , I also love good meal once in a while and I dont want to starve myself..

Does anyone know any good tricks to help cut down calories when they go out..Like if I know Im gonna go eat out one night I dont eat the whole day ( I think this can prob work against me but , it has worked for me in the past )
