I am known to have anxiety attacks, but this happens when I eat regularly - it can be anything. It's been happening for about 6 years now (started in 4th grade, I am now in 10th) It happens mostly when I eat out, get food from the drive-thru or even when I eat a homemade meal. I gag horribly, can't swallow at all, and have trouble breathing.
When this happens, I always have to down everything I eat with water immediately with a liquid or I have to spit it out. After I do that, I have a hard time breathing and it feels like my throat is closing and it's sort of dry.
Any clue as to what this is? Do I need to get my esophagus stretched?
