Futurama on Comedy Central?

I don't see Comedy Central airing Futurama that early. CC usually shows a movie at 8pm, and then shows an hour long block of comedy series at 10pm. My guess is that CC will air the new episodes at 10 or 11pm. Most likely the former, since 11-11:30 is the time for Daily Show/Colbert Report power hour on weeknights.

Anyway, that's part of why Futurama did so poorly in it's last season; FOX moved the show to 7pm on Sunday nights, opposite 60 Minutes. This was a bonehead move on FOX's part for 2 reasons: a) No one knew when it was on, and b) It was constantly getting preempted by NFL football.

King of the Hill has been getting the same fate as Futurama. Also The Simpsons get preempted during the entire month of October because of those damn MLB playoffs. Do we really need to see the Yankees or the Red Sox attempt to show off again?

Consider that there are millions of baseball fans and the playoffs get really high ratings whenever those two teams are playing in the postseason, the answer is yes.

We'll most likely get repeats of Futurama in the late afternoon, sometime between 5 and 8, with the new eps most likely on Wednesdays after South Park, where it'll get the best ratings.

I know that Comedy Central shows movies at 7 PM sometimes. I think their 7PM-9PM schedule varies, sometimes movies and sometimes Daily Show and Colbert Report.

Also, the new episodes will be the movies cut up and reformatted, if you didn't know already. So instead of taping the new episodes, you can buy/rent the movies. The first one, Bender's Big Score, comes out on 11/27/07.
