fusion update

Hello everybody this is jw, just wanted to check in. I am 3 weeks out of fusion surgerey, and i am walking around, But i have like a knot in the area where the incision is. Its like a ball of pressure. I am also having the nurabness on my left butt cheek. I am concerned about this, I am about to panic, I am thinking the hardware is damaged, But i am just in a panic. I know i am just 3 weeks out but this feels weird. I see my doctor this wednesday so hopefully i will get a xray so i can see whats going on. Is this a normal feeling am i in a panic I need some feedback from you guys, anybody who was 3 weeks out of fusion surgerey please reply, so i can stop recking my nerves.

I am 7 weeks out from a fusion surgery and just saw my doctor last week. It is very normal early on to still have pain or nurabness. I was starting to panic some because I am still having nasty sciatic pain down my leg, but my surgeon said he is very pleased with where I am at and that it could be a year or two before I notice significant pain relief.

It's good that you are seeing your doctor soon - be sure to bring up your concerns and be specific so he/she can give you their opinion and put your mind at rest.

I notice that where my hardware is at that I am not able to lay down on my back for more than 15-20 minutes or I get severe pain there. I'm sure it will get better in time but I basically let pain be my guide and avoid things that cause pain as much as possible.
