Fushion fall buddy chat error?

So just today I have been having a blast Battling with friends and chatting with my online buddy friends Until I relized after I log out and log in there names are still there but When I click on the name and chat with them it says They are Unable to use Chat! I understand the names that are unable to do it arent In bright yellow and there gray but I cant tell if that just means there offline or They just cant use chat Anymore. Help! this really is stressfull
