Fuse keeps blowing trying to hook up a stereo in my 1978 F150?

I got all the cords hooked up and it said run the yellow cord to the battery. So I hooked it up but I put a fuse between the battery and the stereo so it doesn't blow the radio. The fuse keeps blowing so I am getting no power to the stereo. I have the ground set and all that. Any tips?
