Fuse for Panasonic TV PV-C2542?

My tv broke a while back and I decided to take a look inside to see if I can fix the problem. I found a blown fuse and removed it and went to radioshack to buy a replacement. I bought a fast acting 4amp 125volt fuse (the amps and voltage match the original fuse), but when I put in the new fuse the TV turned on then then off immediately afterwards. I found out that the new fuse blew out too and after trying another one it did the same thing. I have a feeling the fuse is the issue here since when I plugged it in the green light that is usually on in the front of the TV is finally on, but at the same time if the fuse is the right one I am suppose to get then it must be something else in my TV that is causing the fuse to blow. I researched a bit about fuses and I am still confused as to what fuse I am suppose to get (i.e Slow blow, fast acting) and on the original fuse it has these other things etched onto the other end that looks like this:

What does it mean? Does the Upside down T symbol represent a time delay fuse? Where can I get one? I need an answer fast.
