Funniest Film moments of all time.

My first of two new threaRAB in here today. ;)

I just heard on the radio that the 'Isn't it funny that i've just wiped spunk into my hair' scene from There's something about Mary has been voted the funniest of all time. What the f**k!?!? Goes to prove that people don't actually watch films anymore but just comment on variious things they hear about saying, 'Oh yeah, that was dead funny.'

So, I tyrust this forum at least a little more than the morons who voted for that, so any far better ideas? Shouldn't be too difficult.

South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut - Mr Mackey's 'It's easy, mmmkay?' :D

Anchorman - Will Ferrel in general, but also the introduction of the team:

I'm Brick Tamland. People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 48 and am what some people call mentally retarded. :D

Airplane - The 'jive' talking old lady.

BASEketball - The opening dance sequence after the try (American football).

And thousanRAB more better than a sodding cum joke. Shambles.

And i'm aware that it's the summer, and that something like Dumb and Dumber will come up at leats once. I'll let it slide.
:(

I pretty much loved every early Steve Martin film...The Jerk,The Man with 2 Brains..

I have to confess at laughing like a lunatic the first time I saw Weekend at Bernies .....im so ashamed!

The Jerk is full of contenders as are both Airplane movies. Top Secret has one of the funniest lines in any comedy - 'I know a little German. He's sitting over there'.
I actually think the bulldog/cakes gag from Van Wilder (an otherwise rubbish film) just edges it on the hair gel in Something About Mary (mmm, icing).

van Wilder \o/

Watched Harald and Kumar get the Munchies last night. Not a great film by any stretch, but those two guys are amusing. Not that it should be a contender here. ;)

The scene in Me Myself & Irene.... when that copper had a chicken stuffed up his backside..... lol, makes me laugh even thinking about it.

That Me Myself & Irene bit is funny as hell!

One of the best is Dodgeball, when they are training and the old bloke throws tools at them! :D me and my girlfriend was in tears when that come on

I was watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail the other day and was larfin my head off at the Camelot dancing bit. My uncles are big fans and keep doing a take off of the 'Brave, Brave Sir Robin' bit with my cousin as 'Robin'- they even have coconuts.

I can't really say what makes me laugh here as I either laugh at really random stupid stuff or else don't laugh at all. The last time I laughed at something remotely movie-related was a bit in this Star Wars documentary where they showed them filming the planet getting blown up. The scene outside is this big circle, then this guy shouts 'BANG!' and suddenly the scene switches to a load of stars. :o

You're only making it worse for yourself

How can I make it worse? I'm about to be stoned to death. Jehovah! Jehovah! Jehovah!

:D

I may have spelt jehovah wrong, I have no idea.

I love the Life of Brian! it was my introduction to Monty Python and I havent looked back. The stoning scene is pure class! and lets not forget one of the best stunned silences from a crowd:

Brian: I'm not the Messiah! Will you please listen? I am not the Messiah, do you understand? Honestly!
Girl: Only the true Messiah denies His divinity.
Brian: What? Well, what sort of chance does that give me? All right! I am the Messiah!
Followers: He is! He is the Messiah!
Brian: Now, F*CK off!
[silence]
Arthur: How shall we f*ck off, O Lord?

I think thee is a consensus (which I agree with) - Python (particaurly Grail and LOB), early Steve Martin (Jerk, Man with 2 brains) and early Zucker/Zucker (Top Secret, Kentucky Fried Movie, Airplane(s), Naked Gun(s))

For me the scenes I can laugh at time and time again are most are:
Stoning scene from LOB
"Johnny" in Airplane
and of course - "Nice Beaver" from the naked gun :-)

3 that spring to mind:

The farting scene in Blazing Saddles

a deaf Gene Wilder stamping along so a blind Richard Pryor can follow by listening to his footstamps in Hear no Evil See no evil

The snowball fight scene in Dumb & Dumber
