My pc is quad core 9400 and gpu is 9800gtx+, 3 gigs ram. I used to have 17 inch monitor and I played games at max.1280 resolution. However, today i bought Samsung syncmaster 24 inch full hd monitor. Right now iam playing Assassins creed and i cant but wonder. So when i set setting to 1920 x 1080 resolution, i thougt it shoud suppose to look perfekt, that means much more better than on my old 17 inch monitor. But it doesnt at all. The lines are not smooth but kind of bricked as if I played it on some medium setting or so. I lowered the resolution to 1680 and the lines are much more smoother but it still doesnt look as good as on my old 17 inch monitor with 1280 resolution. Now Iam really sad because i payed a lot of money for the new monitor because i expect the graphics to be really cool. Or am i doing something wrong with setting or so? I connected the monitor to pc with regular dvi-d digital cable as I was supposed to. Something must be wrong because I also played today Far cry 2 and i couldn play it neither on 1920 as well as 1680 resolution. It was so laggy, not playable at all an both resolutions. Thats odd because with my powerfull pc I should have no problem with 1680 resolution. Any suggestions?
