Its not that hard, but I'd follow directions. Get a chiltons or similar book for your car. do not strike steel on steel near tank, see instructions again. Do not transport in a closed vehicle. Plug tank lines. Suggest you open up the used tank and clean it out with some gas, slosh it around, then dump in a pan, as old gas can be cruddy. Also clean the pickup as needed. Not sure JB weld would work. Dad has a old pickup diesel with same problem and we have just used the other tank rather than fool with it. Be prepared to have rust on tank strap bolts, use lots of PB and alternate tighten/loosen. I broke off studs on my old Shadow one time and had to buy a welder to fix it, not fun.

I just Bought a 1994 buick regal custom cupe, it's a great car!
f i fill it more than half way it leaks gas.
How complicated is it to change it? I was thnking of going to a You-Pull-It and getting a used gas tank, then taking mine off and putting the other one on. Is it complicated?
Or would it be better if i went and got that J-B weld and slap it on the hole in gas tank?

P.S i don't know where the whole is so if it is easier to put J.B. weld on it would it be a bad idea to fill the gas tank up to find the whole? The seller told me its not a really bad leak, but it does leak.
