Fuel Pump Replacement on a 1975 Chrysler Imperial LeBaron?

My husband is trying to replace the fuel pump on this vehicle. He got the old one off with no problem, but is having a difficult time putting the new one on.

He gets one bolt tightened, but then can't seem to get the other bolts to line up.

He thinks there some kind of tensioner on there or something that he's missing??

He's got the repair manual, but it's an old one and does not have a schematic of the engine (440). He think this may be helpful -

Any info would be appreciated - or a link to where I can find this info.

if it,s a mechanical pump then tap the starter to get the tension off the arm then he can get both bolts in. what it,s doing is putting too much pressure on the pump arm. just tap the starter to releave the tension.
