Fuel leak

Question, I have the 06 m50 Boulevard, vz800 FI, I got ready to go to work Weds. morning, when I started my bike I have fuel pouring down the front of the engine, I was able to determine that its O-ring related to the crossover tube, or injector O-ring, but since it warmed up outside It wont leak and the Suzuki shop wont fix it...anyone else have this problem? thanks...

I my mind, a dealer who wouldn't fix that problem on your word. Doesn't need my business. A good dealer would have fixed it out of his own pocket if need be to keep a customer happy and safe. A good dealer is always looking towards your next purchase.

never experienced this problem. You said when it warmed up no leak....you mean it was cold outiside or the when the bike warmed up?

Are you past your 1st service milage? I'd keep a sharp eye on it, but if you experience this again, one way or another I'd make the dealer replace the part in question. I'd say that would be a warranty item and I'd not just ask..but demand it. THEN after they replace it, never go back.

The dealer can't be expected to replace random parts to take shots at the problem. If it happens again, investigate more carefully to locate the leak and try again.

Are you located in Lakeland Florida ? If so I know it was cold here on Wenesday morning but not as cold as it will be getting. in 1986 the Challenger shuttle tragically blew up because of faulty "O" rings that failed in cold weather. It will happen again to your bike. gas + ignition = ?????? you fill in the blanks. Have a camera ready and take some pics if it happens again.

Thanks for all the good input, I got the dealer to repair it, It was an o-ring on the front injector. Yes I live In Lakeland and yes it was cold that morning, So the dealer poured ice on top of the motor to duplicate the problem, and sure enough it leaked...

Oh, I wont be going back either...
