Piece of shit Pioneer VSX-D307 died Sunday...And I don't have the cash for a new one.
Kinda for the better, I guess. I always hated this thing. Muddy, fuzzy sound. Poor build quality. Takes AGES to turn on (~8 seconds).
You know that white port on old sound cards that hooks up to the front panel audio ports? Imagine ten of those in a line on an add on board that contains the volume knob, DSP, and the sound circuitry. That mounts into the reciever like a PCI card.
Shittiest interconnects EVER! I'm convinced that's why it sounded like a pigs rectum. I already had to replace that card once...
While I don't have the cash for a new one, there is this used CD store that sells some pretty gnarly used hardware for cheap.
But I just fucking hate spending money right now
. Nothing sucks more than burning through cash when you are saving up for a car.
