I left really early today because I had a bunch of errands to run before I had to work at 2 pm. So I get to work and my boss is like, I called ur house but u'd already left. I don't need u in a room today. Okay. So she puts me to work staining a door. This door is a massive solid oak door that I can NOT lift by myself. Especially not with a sprained wrist. So she gets off her fat ass to help me lift it over to the saw horses.
I stain one coat and she has me change the sign outside from "Have a safe and wonderful 4th of July" to "Come and grow with us infants and toddlers" and then our phone #. So now the first coat is dry and I'm doing a second coat when my co-worker comes out and asks if I'm still an extra. Um... duh. Looks like it huh?
So I go into the toddler room so the other teacher can do diaper changes. This should take like 10 min. So after 40 min went by and all the kids had been changed, I stick my head inside and ask why it's taking her so long.
Oh, she's decided to clean the room. Fuck. She's cleaning the room, she has been for at least 30 min, and there are still toys strewn about the floor. So I ask her if she's going to be done cuz I still have to clean the entry way, the lounge, and put a coat of poly on the one side of the door, let that dry, then flip the door and do it all again on the other side.
NOPE. She isn't close. It takes her over an hour to clean the room. Now, keep in mind that it only takes me 15 min to clean this same room to the same degree that it took her an hour to do it. So she's finally done and she comes out and sits with the kids again and as I'm slamming the door shut she says, "Oh, btw, thanks." I was so angry I was just like, w/e bitch.
So, since I've been MIA for an hour my boss had another employee do the cleaning and I went out to finish the door. Well, turns out the door never should have been done cuz it still has to be cut.
All I have to say to work is :fuckoff:
