Frustrations with SanDisk 1GB SD cards...

I was overjoyed when I found SanDisk 1GB SD cards for only $17.99 at Best Buy (after a $10 mail-in rebate), but that joy was shortlived as I am having problems loading files to the three I bought.

If I format the card on my computer, I can load up 968MB of music files (MP3s) to them; but when I insert the card in my T5 it cannot see the data and asks if I want to reformat the card. If I format the card on my T5, I can only get 527MB of MP3 files on the card before I get a "Error copying file or folder - The directory or file cannot be created."

Now, here's the kicker...I loaded up around 939MB of video files without a problem. Needless to say I am stumped!

I thought my T5 could take 1GB cards without a problem. What can I do???

I have similar problems with my T5 and 4 GB card - the handheld can see only 2 GB. 1 GB cards runs fine. What is the speed of your card? It should be printed on the card lable (60x or 150x or...)

I know there is a limitation on the size of SD cards Palms can run, I believe it is 2GB.

I don't have the packaging for the card with me, it is simply a standard SanDisk 1GB card (not an Ultra or anything). There is no mention of the speed on their web site, and I am not sure if I can find the packaging at home (it may be buried deep in the trash).

What makes it all so odd is that I can store nearly the maximum expected amount of video files on the cards, and I belive the same to be true of document files; but MP3 music files keep hitting a "wall" (and the amount of files I can store seems to fluxuate, but never more than ~625MB).

I appreciate the help!
