Fruit and acne

Hello. I was wondering if anyone has noticed a correlation between acne flare ups and eating fresh fruit. I am struggling. I watch my diet, but I eat a lot of apples, berries and pineapple. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
 
I did a quick search on the internet and found several websites saying how "citric acid" may worsen acne.
So..maybe try to avoid fruits that contain citric acid and see if it helps?
