frozen shoulder

Can anybody offer me any hope to ease this excruciating condition PLEASE ?

So far, I have had the cortizone injection(ouch !) and am still on anti-inflammatories and painkillers up to twice a day.

I have been to a physio who admitted he couldn't really help me, just advised me on exercises which I try to do when it's not so painful which is rare.

I am getting barely any sleep as it's so hard to find a comfortable position.

In desperation, I even went to a chinese herbalist who gave me acupuncture (more painful), then a massage which was ok but didn't achieve anything. They wanted to do 'cupping' but I wasn't having it ! I think the natural anti-inflammatories they gave me, may have made a small difference.

Anybody save me ?

Since no one is replying to your post, I will. I may not be an expert, but I have gone through what you are going through. I also have Degenerative Disk Disease in my lower back. That is a horrible pain, BUT the frozen shoulder beats it!!!!!!!!!

You need to see a dr. ---- one who specializes in problems of the shoulder and have it diagnosed. He may send you to a Physical Therapist. It will take some time and it WILL be painful as they help to UN freeze your shoulder.

I had surgery on my left shoulder back in January. They thought I had a large tear in my Rotator Cuff ----because that is what the MRI showed. But, when they got in there they only found a lot of inflamed tissue (which they removed) and the frozen shoulder. He also shaved some bone to help my movement. I went to a PT for about 2 or 3 months. It took a lot of hard work and it hurt like nothing I have EVER experienced before!!!!!! Hopefully, the dr. will give you medicine to help with the pain.

I am just NOW getting full movement back in my shoulder and it hardly ever hurts anymore. So, it is a LONG process. But, please do not suffer any longer. Get help NOW!!!!! I put up with mine for months before I went in. I had PT before surgery that did not help. I had a cortisone shot before surgery, that did not help. I did have to have a shot a few months after surgery and it was glorious relief!!!!!:):)

Hope I have been at least a little help. Take care of yourself!

My dad's girlfriend is a massage therapist. She told me she was at the annual new england conference for massage therapy and there was a gentleman showing a technique that specifically fixes frozen shoulder. Apparently he has had great success. Maybe do a google search and keep looking (?)

i have had 3 of them. only time worked. 11 months on average with each. i honestly think i tried everything that was available including rotation under anasthesia but nothing helped. i begged the doctor to know why i kept getting them but he said no one knew.
each time the frozen shoulder unfroze on its own.
i really know how you feel and wish you the best!
