frozen apple MP3 player 15gb HELPPPP!!!!!!!!?

i have an apple white mp3 player its 15gb
when i plug it in it says "ok to disconnect" when i do the screen just stays on "ok to disconnect" even when i push all the buttons.
i tried again and pluged it in and just let it charge over night but in the morning when i unplugged it it still had the message on the screen
please help

hold the play button and center button down until you see the apple icon appear. it should work now.
