I am thinking about replacing the front shocks ( Struts) on the 1998 Cadillac. I know you need the spring clamps to hold the springs, etc.. I have replaced shocks, brakes etc.. and have used the clamp to hold the spring when I was replacing the CV Axles when I needed to removed the axles. But I guess I am concerned about the clamps slipping off or breaking... any advice ??? I know I need to take it in for alignment afterwards... just concerned about the springs and the force on it.
