I have a 2004 Chevy Cavalier with 99,700 on it. In the past month have noticed a sound coming from what seems to be the front of the car when I first start and then accelerate. It almost sounds like the sound a piece of paper would make between the spokes of a turning bike wheel, or maybe a sewing machine sound with a bit of a squeak. The sound seems to disappear after driving a couple of blocks and always gets louder when I press the accelerator (after I initially start the car and drive). I'm pretty certain it's not the brakes since I'm familiar with the sound they make when going bad. I'm trying to determine what it might be so I can figure the cost.
