I have an eleven year old daughter who developed a twitch approximately a month ago, very rapidly she began having seizures. For the last two weeks she has been in the Vancouver Childrens hospital getting tested. She has had a Cat Scan, and MRI, etc, numberous blood test as well as a spinal tap and everything appears to be normal. They have ruled out many of the major diseases. Our daughter has a friend who is 14years old and has had almost identical symptoms for more than two months now. At times the tremors will improve and then a few day later they are back. Although my daughters friends have had the HPV shot and some speculate it could be related to that vaccine, my daughter did not have the shot, but was in very close contact with those who have. The team of doctors at the hospitol are unable to come up with any thing definitive. Stress has been suggested a couple times, and although stress may possibly be a trigger for the event, it is also unlikely that it is the cause of the seizures. If anyone has any ideas to a possible cause, it would be greatly appreciated.
