cbr 250 to 1098/s? whoa
hmmm comparatively speaking, that would be like stepping from a hyundai hatch back to a v8 supercar!
yeah, you are the master at the control of machine,( the machine being a finely crafted and responsive piece of automotive weaponry to say the least) but, in the hands of a moderately experienced rider, i kinda feel that this machine is gonna be the dominant factor.
My tiny little opinion in the 848vs1098 debate,is that the 1098 has the personality traits of an angry, skitzophrenic child and the 848 is its more demure and pliable, user friendly sibling.
And probably the more sensible transitional step to take....(besides you can get the red one and change stickers, put aftermarket exhaust on and pretend it a 1098!!!lol)
Your current and proposed machines are a world apart in torque, response, and power delivery! im kinda of the mind that perhaps a larger sized 2 valve ducati thrown in between for a while would be a place to build riding skills....specially round town, which the 1098 will not enjoy!!
Im siting from my own 25 years of riding tho, and acknowledge fully that all outcomes depend on your riding needs/capabilities/style....(and insurance premiums)
test riding for yourself is the only sure way to determine your final decision......
cheers and welcome to a whole new world of funfunfun!
