Fringe area performance; nokia or lg?

I work in a cingular fringe area, no carriers get 'good' reception here, but I have found that cingular works better than verizon. I currently have a motorola razr and am getting really frustrated with the reception performance. I qualify for the upgrade deal now, and have been looking at the nokia 6682, 6126, and lg cu500. does anyone have any experience with these phones side by side and how they perform in less than perfect conditions?
I know nokias are usually better, but i have heard that lg has come a long way.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

LG has not come a long way besides having crap phones to now having not-so-crap-but-still-would-never-ever-buy-it phones.
