Fried Green Tomatoes

I watched this film the other night and loved every minute of it. My friend gave ot me on VHS ages ago and I have put it off ever since.
I think Kathy Bates is excellent! What are everyones thoughts on this film?

It's excellent, the book is really good too, with some hints and references that aren't in the film. ;-)

I thought it was excellent too. Saw it years ago, but got it free with a weekend newspaper recently and watched it again, and found it so heartwarming, I adored Kathy Bates character too, the whole story was lovely, different to the book, the 2 girls are lesbians in the book as far as I remember.
