sounds like its looks for something thats not there, might b a pain to fix it. you'll have to go down to 27 then do the incremental updates to 85 lol. or try a wipe and reflash.
 
I went from modaco's original rooted FRF50 straight to FRF83 a few days ago.

I did download a FRF83 to FRF85b file. is that it, just flash in amon's.

(came home to more Froyo love. Yay!)

If I running a stock frf50 non rooted. What do I need to do to get to this latest update.

yea Aaron, let me find it again

you can also try typing *#*#checkin#*#* in dialer and it will checkin with the servers and it might find the OTA for you.
 
Aaron just use this and flash from FRF50 to FRF83, then use the second link in the OP and go from FRF83 to FRF85b

It's the official ota
 
Will this flash using a custom recovery or do you need stock?
