Fresh Water Fishing in Hampton Roads VA?

I'm looking for some good places to fish in the Hampton Roads VA area. I'm mostly interested in Bass fishing.

So far, I have only fished at Beaver Dam in Gloucester VA. Please let me know of some other places, and whether you fish from the bank, pier, or rent a boat etc.
