Frequent Vomiting in a Epileptic Male

For background information my boyfriend was diagnosed with adult onset epilepsy a year ago but he has had "morning sickness" since I met him 3 years ago. Sometimes he will just vomit in the morning but then other times he will wake up very early and vomit all day. Each episode has no known cause, it just happens. His older brother also has morning sickness at times too, so it seems like it could be genetic. I did not know if the vomiting and his new epilepsy diagnoses are related which seemed to have come without a cause either. What could be happening? Any ideas would be great to ease my mind.
 
The vomiting is related to the seizures. If you do a search on the web you will find articles that talk about vomiting and epilepsy. So it goes hand in hand with the disease.
