...basically good? Could the desire to do bad things, be just a part , of our BIGGER DESIRE, to be FREE? If I am not free to do bad things, then I am not free to do good things. So is it possible, that we as humans, dont really want to be or do bad, but we just want to know that we are free to be or do bad, in the NAME of FREEDOM. If that is the case, then there really is no devilish self, that exist in me or you, that wants to do evil. I only "think" I want to do evil, but what I really want is freedom.
Allot of teachings try to get rid of this ability to choose, by telling us we really have "no choice", but that does nothing to solve the problem of free will. Perhaps we need to understand, exactly what "free will" is, instead of trying to suppress it and then saying,"there is no freewill", because of the guilt we would feel, for choosing bad. What do you think?
