 I was zapping on the guide yesterday... A free Vu select concert of Les Trois Accords was advertised at 7pm. Sure i'll ask for it. Funny part is, even if it's a free concert you have to order it, like the other PPV.

Went on the internet... System coudn't find my account.

Called the lovely Emily. Entered my phone number, my PIN, she coudn't find my account, she needed the smartcard number. I was planning to record it both on my 5900 and 9200, but now I will only have it on my 9200. Finally enter the event code, Emily confirms the order and that the cost is 0$.

I don't watch it at 7, but I record it...

Later on I decide to watch it. The event only last 45 minutes...not what I call a concert! Out of those 45 minutes there are 2 advertisement of futur events on Vu and at the end there in an interview with the band. In total, only 20 minutes where yu actuall see the band singing. In between the song they had a black screen for several seconds...

Free Vu select concerts? What a joke... :p

Hopefuly things are different for events in English...

I would highly doubt it, it does not matter to Express Vu, they can screw up in ANY language.......

How would you like to have Rogers "HD Preview/Special" free channel (channel 501). I've had my Explorer 3200HD for nearly 2 months now and this channel has run this Much Music special concert from what looks like 2 years ago in a continuous loop. *sighs* Oh, how I miss the good old days of DirecTV's "FreeView" concerts. lol Hell, I miss A LOT of things about the good old days of DTV! ;)

How about this? I got a $20 PPV credit and tried to watch a HD PPV movie. I was recording the movie and watching watching it about 30 min delayed. About 45 min from the end, the 9200 froze and rebooted. The partial recording was unwatchable so I ended up missing the last 45 min. It took over 4 months and 4 phone calls to get it straightened out. To make matters worse, that movie was never shown again on HD PPV so I ended up renting it. I got another HD PPV credit as compensation but almost nothing has been on HD PPV due to EV's transponder problems, especially not that the ms and I want to watch. Now the second credit has expired. Thanks for nothing EV.

hrmm.
if you have nother better to complain about that something that is given free, i'd say your life is pretty good.

nem, who thinks there are better things to spend time doing than complaining about something that was free.

Gee, like that would be like the same as an FTA pirate complaining about Bev's ECMs!

And there's a LOT of those that complain when they do, so that must make it OK, right?

The biggest thing that bugs me about freevus is that you can't tune in half way through. I'm flipping through the dial and see a free concert in progress. The stupid software says I can't "buy" it because it is in progress. Gimme a break, pleeease. It's not like I'll be calling up to correct the $0 billing.
