I need to write a free-verse poem for school, and this is what i came up with:
Same dream, on another restless night.
Confusion hits me again.
Where am I?
I hear your voice calling me.
Then our eyes meet.
Running up to give you a huge hug,
she sees us.
We run away in fear and laughter,
trying not to get caught.
Ending up on a playground slide,
We sit and talk for a while.
Eating a gingerbread house,
my grandma walks in.
Our faces in surprise,
running away yet again.
Finding some place quiet.
Closing your eyes,
you lean in towards me.
With hesitation I move closer.
I wake up to the sound of my alarm.
Damn.
I dont even think its a poem, but i tried? This is about the dream i had last night, lol. So my question is, would it be considered a free-verse poem?
