Yes,when you set up your e-mail account or by going to options or settings you will find a spam blocker or spam filter add-on.
You can activate it in general or set it to filter out e-mail which contains certain words or phrases such as FREE blah,blah,blah or
nude,erotic,sexy, or whatever you know will not be something that your friends would say in an e-mail to you.
Then, you can check to make sure someone you know hasn't been bumped to the SPAM folder by accident, before you empty that folder.
This can happen every once in a while.
If it does happen, just check that e-mail, click on the MOVE drop down menu and click on Inbox. This will move you friend back to your
regular mailbox and they shouldn't get bumped again. Hopefully.
I always check before emptying my SPAM folder.
