My sister who is 15 is trying to Petition of Appointment of Guardianship. She is currently living with me, but I can't bring her to get her permit, or anything in school that requires a legal guardian. My mom is an alcoholic and I have been taking care of my sister for the last couple years, but with my mom still receiving child support for my sister. So my sisters dad is trying to get the child support sent to me, however my mom is taking us all to court to make sure that doesn't happen. But I don't have money for an attorney, and a neighbor told me since my sister is a minor she can get an attorney to help her for free. Is this true? And if so how do I go about asking about that?
