Free photos for community! Does this sound like a good volunteer project?

Here's the deal. My local chamber of commerce gave me $700 for my community involvement upon graduating high school. It's a check and they said I can do anything with it. I actually didn't think I would get the scholarship since I really haven't done much besides help pick up garbage around the community. Anyways, I was really thankful that they chose me and I want to do something for the community. I love taking pictures and I was thinking I could take pictures and offer like a free 5x7 to each person who comes. My town is very very small. Less than 1,000 people. We have a local park that everyone knows that I was thinking I could do this at. I was also just thinking of doing it only one day. Advertise it around the community and make it an all day event. Do you think this is possible? I need ideas to help me get this going though. Is this even a volunteer project? What would you call it? haha I'm not sure how i'm going to pay to get the pictures developed. I know of a site called mpix.com that can print 5x7's for 89 cents and they look really nice. I've done it before. But that is still a lot. Do you think there would be a chance a company could sponsor me and pay for the prints? I'm estimating that around 200 people would even show up, so what other things should I be aware of for this idea? What are possible expenses and complications? Do you think I could pull this off?

I didn't want to charge people for the photos since that kind of defeats the purpose. But maybe if I left a donation jar out? I could donate the money to a local charity or something?

The reason why I want to do this is because I think pictures are good things to have. They are good memories and last a lifetime. I wanted to get my senior pictures taken last year by a professional studio and it costs over $500. My parents wouldn't let me get them because it was too expensive, so I didn't have any senior pictures. This made me sad because I wouldn't have a good picture to remember my senior year of high school. I know there are families that cannot afford to get professional pictures taken, so I was thinking this event would be good right now especially in this economy.
