Free newsletter or mailing list provider? (I'm the author)?

I'm looking for a free website for a small mailing list to control updates, I don't want to use yahoo groups, or some other group. I just want to have a box on my website that says subscribe for updates, then the ability to send out small messages to them.

Any suggestions?
