Free Laptop etc. with a mobile phone?? Surely not?

Can someone please explain to me how this works!

Are the laptops, consoles etc any good? Do they come with anything on or do u have to by controls or software?

I am very sceptical, speak from experience please!

Also, what happens to the phone and the 'extra' at the end of the contract?
