Free IPv6 News Servers

Try this one:

netsh interface portproxy add v4tov6 listenport=1119 connectaddress=news.ipv6.eweka.nl connectport=119

in grabit use these settings

Server address: 127.0.0.1
port: 1119
Connections: 8

When I Try this..., It says me that "one does not find the command: interface portproxy add v4tov6 listenport=1119 connectaddress=news.ipv6.eweka.nl connectport=119"

I have installed ipv6 but don't be what's happens

You have to have the go6 client running, after the tunnel is installed, go to network, click you internet connection and share it with the virtual tunnel. Reboot, install Sabnzb or use the command above and it will work, if you followed my step by step instructions in the beginning of the thread.

it seems eweka is (temp ?) down as it was working one minute, then this.

2009-04-19 04:31:19,585 WARNING [downloader] Thread [email protected]:119: timed out
2009-04-19 04:31:20,742 ERROR [newswrapper] Failed to connect: (10061, 'Connection refused') [email protected]:119

but the main reason i joined here...it seems theres a few filesharingtalk falk here trying to use the old style end user lead free news services etc, hence looking for all the free news servicers around, and related apps, so lets talk and see if we can once again try as much as possible, take the payed for services out of the equation as per the old days....

lets talk IPv6 user to user news peering.
lets talk Ipv6 news servers.
lets talk IPv6 FreeNet.
lets talk IPv6 DNS

these are just a few i quickly found, i dont know if they work for our purposes in IPv6 land, or how we might put all these bits together for my proposed community news peering, using our limited ISP upload rates and SABnzbd+ as our core downloader, but its something to consider...

that way we dont have to worry so much about a single feed going down as we could be pulling and pushing (not worked out how to do or make that yet ?)

some form of annon DHT for our end user news servers would be a very good way to auto collect up groups of binary servers, and perhaps a way to collectively share our drive space storage so that no parts get lost for to long....

lots of options anyway
here an open java based DHT http://bamboo-dht.org/tutorial.html
to start any budding coders reading here.....

I've tried go6 and tunnelbroker Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista and none of them work properly.

go6 connecting in Windows Vista but it does not come out IPv6.

Everything is perfect and I both scrupulously tutorials.

it seems news.ipv6.eweka.nl:119: 4 started working again last night with go6 tunnels, its a little slow right now though....250Kbit/s is the best speed i can get at the moment.

i just realised if your new to this and didnt come across the https://www.sixxs.net/misc/coolstuff/#ipv6gate pages your going to need a user/password issued to you for reader.ipv6.xsnews.nl:119 , its working for me again on go6.

goto:
http://www.xsnews.com/ipv6/ and enter your valid email address in the deze pagina linked page, collect the email they send, then enter its info into your SAB+ reader.ipv6.xsnews.nl:119 4 user/password server bit.

Mine worked like a charm on XP.

go6 Client has been upgraded incase anyone can't connect to freenet.

New Gateway6 Client released - Please upgrade

03.13.2009

Gateway6 Client 6.0 has been released. It will be required to upgrade to the client in order to use the new Freenet6 service. The client can be downloaded at http://go6.net/4105/download.asp

As part of the changes being made to the Freenet6 service the Gateway6 server names have been changed. Anonymous users should now use anonymous.freenet6.net and registered users should use authenticated.freenet6.net

It goes in and out all the time, just keep trying...just make sure to remember to read my posts from the first page, there just testing here IPv6 news service, so they "could/might" stop at any time, but it goes down alot...

news.ipv6.eweka.nl has not worked for weeks now, perhaps someone should ask go6 and them why perhaps ?

currently there seems to be only one ipv6 provider working right now and not so good or fast the last few days...
