One day I was going to post something on my site that said you can get something free. I searched something I could get everybody that's free. I went into a link called "http://www.coolfreebielinks.com/' and then I saw "Free Hanes T-Shirts" then I was copying down the form, so I could put the form on my site. I wanted to see the second page, so I had to type my email in. I copied down the rest of the form. I never suspected what would happen next. One day I had left my email for 2 days or so and when I came back I had 81 messages of spam! It had subscribed me to a bunch of mailing lists. I went through some of them trying to unsubscribe to all of them. It was no use. One day I was unsubscribing, and when I opened a message AVG said "Threat Detected" I don't know what it was, but nothing bad happened. So that's when I stopped unsubscribing. I get up to 10 spam messages per day and some of them I can unsubscribe to. What should I do? I don't want to get a spam blocker because I worry about certain programs that might give me a virus. Is there a way I can set gmail to delete forever all spam messages when they reach spam?
Oh, and I know what half of you are going to say. Don't say "report to spamcop" or whatever that is because if I forward it, it will send me twice as much spam.

I don't have gmail any more, and can't remember what I did when I did have it. But Yahoo has that provision - to delete spam as fast as it arrives as long as it goes to the bulk mail folder. When it comes to my inbox, I just hit the spam button and go on from there. Surely gmail has the same provision - to let the junk mail be deleted as soon as it arrives. Check around, and if you can't find it, hit one of the Help buttons.
