Hi there!

after a long research [15 minutes! :)] i have discovered that when you register EDONKEY/OVERNET it tries to connect to the OVERNET official site to validate what you have typed.
If you block this access, it does I don't know what, but the ADs disappear,
and after all, this is what REG is for, isn't it?

So, edit (with Notepad) your hosts file [found in :\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\] and add theses two lines:

127.0.0.1 reg.edonkey2000.com
127.0.0.1 reg.overnet.com

If it doesn't work reboot your PC

no i mean downloads start sooner and my bandwidth stays maxed out. i would rather use emule or shareaza for ed2k, but i have gotten the best consistant download speeds with edonk.
 
just get overnet and use the crack Muscleman posted.. it works great. Right now I have 3 downloads at a combined speed of 150KB/s... thats as fast as my dsl will go, so if you have cable speeds will be even faster probably.. but of course all the variables change things, but overall i would suggest overnet with the crack.
 
why everbody thinks overnet is a leeching network, on overne you share files its the same thing as emule, thats why kazaa shutdown kazaalite because kazaa developers though kazaalite was a leeching program. so stop all that BS about overnet is leeching because if you say that your actually saying kazaalite is a leeching program to. :huh:
 
Overnet is not a leaching program. i have about 10 upload right now and i have 6 downloads going. the speeds that i get on emule in 3 hours i get in 3 minutes on overnet. the only reason emule would be better is that it uses less resources on my computer. so stop saying overnet is a leaching program
 
hey, does that overnet use the ICH like emule (since its connecting to their network?)
that is a server-side deal, right?
(pretty sure my pc's too stupid to catch corrupt content :lol: )
