I think Blu-Ray discs are still a little to expensive too do it in the same way as standard DVD's and I am not sure how many people still use normal DVD's at home over BR so I can't see it changing very soon but who knows.. one day it may change.
It may happen eventually but maybe a couple of years at least to wait.
It's doubtful that Bluray will ever reach the market penetration that dvd has and it's likely that when the next format arrives there will be many people who will still have dvd and will have never bothered with Bluray.
