Classically trained to the natural ear trained pianist; would you consider Freddie Mercury, lead singer of Queen a virtuoso pianist?
Consider his compositions from songs such as(not limited to) "The Millionaire Waltz", "Death On Two Legs", etc...

Although I wouldn't call him a virtuoso pianist, Freddie's skill on piano was great and he was classically trained.
Listen to the "Millionaire Waltz"
There are many great artists who respect him, like Roger Daltrey.

"When we lost Freddie, we not only lost a great personality, a man with a great sense of humor, a true showman, but we lost probably the best, the really, the best virtuoso rock 'n' roll singer of all time. He could sing anything in any style. He could change his style from line to line and, God, that's an art. And he was brilliant at it. "
-- Roger Daltrey

Freddy's vocal range was tremendous, absolutely one of the best singers, ever, in rock 'n roll. That's why so many musicians refer to him as being the greatest, he really was!

Freddy's piano playing was very good but I have never heard anyone refer to it as virtuoso level. Brian May, of Queen, may be a better piano player than Freddy was but its not really a contest with talent that fantastic.

I have seen Queen a few times, in their early days when they were a hard rock band, WOW! they may have been the best band of their time, certainly better and more talented than 98% of all rock bands.
